"The Offering" is about a Vietnam Veteran who takes his Harley out for a late-afternoon ride. Once he arrives at a crest overlooking the ocean he is startled to see the sky full of ghostlike Hueys. He catches a door-gunner's eye and holds up an American flag that he carries in a saddle bag. By this gesture he is saying this is why we were willing to give our lives in Vietnam.
